Adv. Aidarous Ali Abdilahi is an Advocate of the Somaliland Courts with over 14 years of professional experience in criminal prosecution, legal aid, and judicial reform. He holds an LLB from Amoud University and additional qualifications in public administration and accounting.He previously served as Deputy Attorney General in both Marodijeh and Sool regions, where he led prosecutorial functions, supervised complex criminal cases, and contributed to strengthening the rule of law and institutional accountability. He also worked extensively in legal aid under UNDP and SOLLA programs, providing pro bono services to vulnerable communities.Currently, he is the Vice Chairman of the Somaliland Lawyers Association (SOLLA) and Chairman of KAFI Law Firm in Borama, where he provides strategic legal leadership, mentorship, and advisory services.Adv. Aidarous is widely recognized for his expertise in prosecution, dispute resolution, legal governance, and advancing access to justice across Somaliland
Adv. Saed Abdilahi Hussein (Geeljire) General Secretary
Adv. Saed Abdilahi Hussein (Geeljire) is an Advocate of the Somaliland Courts with over 13 years of professional legal and judicial experience. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Legal Drafting and Legal Studies from Mekelle University of Ethiopia (hosted by the University of Hargeisa), and an LLB from the University of Hargeisa.Following his legal education, he served within the Somaliland judiciary for over 4 years (2012–2016) in various capacities, including as a District Judge in Erigavo and Salahley, and later as a Regional Court Judge in Gabiley. He subsequently served as President of Gabiley Regional Court (2013–2015) and President of Saaxil Regional Court (2015–2016).After his judicial service, he transitioned into private legal practice with over 8 years of experience as an independent advocate and legal drafter. He is the Founder and Director of Star Law Firm and has served as a legal consultant to several institutions, including UCID Political Party, Tallo-Wadaag Organization, and Eastman Mineral International Company.He has held key leadership roles within the Somaliland Lawyers Association (SOLLA), including Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Legal Aid Department. On 1st August 2025, he was elected as the Secretary General of SOLLA for a three-year term.Adv. Geeljire has also undertaken numerous professional trainings in areas such as judicial case management, legal drafting, criminal and civil procedure, project management, and monitoring and evaluation. He is widely experienced in litigation, legal advisory, and institutional legal development.
