The Chairperson of the Somaliland Lawyers Association, Advocate Hassan Ali Hassan (Banfas), expressed his honor and privilege in participating in the farewell luncheon held in recognition of Lionel Lauren, acknowledging his valuable support and contribution to the successful implementation of the Project on the Provision of Legal Aid and Representation Services in Somaliland under the Joint Rule of Law Programme.

He further conveyed sincere appreciation to Samira Hassan for her continued leadership, dedication, and commitment to advancing access to justice, the rule of law, and legal empowerment initiatives in Somaliland.


Special recognition was also extended to Abdisalan Farah for his close collaboration, hard work, and dedicated support throughout the implementation of the programme, which greatly contributed to its success and impact.

The Chairperson also commended the efforts of the United Nations Development Programme for its ongoing partnership and support in strengthening legal aid services, institutional capacity-building, and inclusive justice initiatives across Somaliland.
